After the big announcement made by the South Korean Company Samsung for their Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge at the beginning of the year, and their Galaxy Note 7 recently; the American Company Apple made an official announcement that they will unveil their new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus on the 7^th of September 2016 during an event in one of San Francisco’s biggest stadiums in the State of California.

Despite all the leaks about the new iPhone, the element of surprise still exists! Apple never comments about the leaks and gossip that takes over the market before the release, and we at Labeb wrote an article last March about iPhone 7’s leaks.

Tim Cook, Apple’s Executive Chief, will discuss the new iPhone during the event, and we may witness the announcement of other devices like a new Apple smartwatch.

The latest leaks about iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is the ability to charge them wirelessly, having a double rear camera (similar to Huawei’s P9), and improvements in the water and dust resistance features. The question still remains at whether Apple improved their devices design? This question will be answered on the 7^th of September 2016.

Specifications and Features of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

As we mentioned before, we do not have definite information about the new phones, and the previously leaked specifications are still expected as Apple did not make any comments about them.

Many studies released by tech magazines and newspapers state that iPhone 7 will have a 4.7 inch screen and will be powered on the tenth generation (Apple A10) operating system iOS10.

It is expected to be available in the following internal storage spaces: 32, 128, and 256 gigabytes with a 2 gigabyte RAM.

As for the camera, iPhone 7 will have a rear camera with a resolution of 12 megapixels and a resolution of 5 megapixels for the front camera.

iPhone 7 Plus is expected to have a 5.5 inch screen and internal storage options of: 32, 128, and 256 gigabytes. As for other features, it is probable that the two devices will have similar specifications and features.

Summary

Unveiling the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will occur on the 7^th of September 2016 in the State of California at 10:00 AM according to their time zone, the United Stated West Cost time zone; at 05:00 PM GMT.

There is no doubt that this event will be one of the biggest events in the fall of 2016. As for the prices, it is predicted that the prices will vary between 790 and 1200 USD (2959 and 4492 SARs) and that is according to storage and color. Note that these expected prices are without taxes, which varies between different countries.

In the light of the heated competition between Samsung and Apple, we might witness a huge comeback from Apple, but the question remains: Will iPhone 7 beat all Samsung phones this year (including Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7)?
